Red Ribbon Week  

Red Ribbon Week 2017

Each October, school children across the United States participate in National Red Ribbon Week activities. During the week, activities and announcements will focus on the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol and why our students should choose healthy alternatives. The following activities are planned for the week of October 23rd -October 27th, 2017:


Monday, October 23rd, 2017: Wear Red Day/Pledge Day: Everyone is invited to wear RED to support a drug free lifestyle. Each student will be given a red ribbon week ribbon!


Tuesday, October 24th, 2017: “Rock it and Sock it to Drugs!”: Everyone is invited to wear their craziest socks!!!


Wednesday, October 25th, 2017: “Team Up” Against Drugs: Everyone is invited to wear their favorite sport’s team memorabilia to school!


Thursday, October 26th, 2017: I’m TOO “Bright” for Drugs!: Wear your favorite neon colored clothes and sunglasses!!!!


Friday, October 27th, 2017: Follow your DREAMS, Don’t Use Drugs!” and Make a Difference Day: Everyone is invited to wear pajamas to show their support for a healthy lifestyle! As part of the National “Make a Difference Day” we will collect jars of peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, pasta, canned spaghetti sauce, oatmeal, cereal, and pop-tarts that will be used to provide food for the Backpack Buddies program at our school! PLEASE consider donating so that we can restock our pantry for our Backpack Buddies! The class with the most food items wins an ice cream party and 10 eagle feathers!
