Christmas Dress Up Week  

This is a fun week for students and staff to dress up for Christmas:


Monday: Wear your Christmas socks

Tuesday: Wear your Christmas PJs

Wednesday: Wear your Christmas hats and headbands

Thursday: WEar your read and green

Friday: Wear your ugly sweater


I can't wait to see all the fun attire. 

December Notes  

Dear Parents,


We have a very busy,

but exciting 3 weeks coming up…


-December 7-Interim Reports

-December 15 - Christmas Around the World. Students will rotate to each Kindergarten teacher and learn about Christmas in Germany, England, Mexico, Netherlands, Ireland, Colombia, Italy and France.

-December 18 Craft Day 12:15-2:00 Please make sure you let me know if you would like to come in the classroom and complete a craft with the students.

-December 19 – 11:30 Music Program in the Multipurpose room with Mrs. Ludwig. The students have been working hard learning their songs.

-December 20 - 1:00 we will have our class party in the classroom. Liam’s mom will be in touch very soon for you to sign up for items.

-December 21 – Christmas break begins. See you back January 3rd.

Tomorrow, Monday, November 13 at 1:30 will be our first award ceremony in our classroom. Each child will receive at least one award. 

On Thursday, November 16, we will have our field trip to the Police Stationa and Fire Department. We will return by 11:30 and have lunch in our classroom. 

Red Ribbon Week  

Don't forget to dress up to support Red Ribbon Week.

Make a Difference Day




Everyone is invited to wear pajamas to show their support for a healthy lifestyle!




As part of the National “Make a Difference Day” we will collect jars of peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, pasta, canned spaghetti sauce, oatmeal, cereal, and pop-tarts that will be used to provide food for the Backpack Buddies program at our school!  PLEASE consider donating so that we can restock our pantry for our Backpack Buddies! 


The class with the most food items wins an ice cream party and 10 eagle feathers!

Fall Festival  

Fall Festival is Friday evening, October 13, 5:00-7:00. Our class is hosting the Hay Ride. Please come and join us. All of the money raised goes directly back into our classroom. 

Picture Day  

Picture Day is Wedensday, September 27.


It has been a wonderful first few weeks of school. They students are beginning to learn routines and what is expected in the classroom. We will begin volunteers in a few weeks. Thank you for everything. Don't forget Early Release Day is Thursday. Students will release at 12:00 and will be served lunch before leaving. 


We had a wonderful first week of school. I am so excited with how wonderful our year is going to be. Please make sure you are checking our instagram page ketchums.kinders to see all of the wonderful things we are learning. 


Please check the Kindergarten supply list on my page. I have taken a few items off that we will not need or that I have some already. If you have already purchased items that is fine. We will take them. :) I will also return anything that is left over at the end of the school year for you to be able to use the next year. I have added a few items that we will use a lot of and would love as donations. 






Orientation is this coming week! I absolutely can not wait to meey my new Eaglets. August 24 12:00-2:00 and 5:00-7:00. Please bring your child's school supplies if possible. We would like to have them organized before the first staggered day. Thank you!

New School Year 2017  

With the thoughts of Kindergarten Camp coming up next week I am getting super excited to meet my new Eaglets. Please in these last few weeks of summer make sure you are reading with your child and having them practice writing their name. See you soon!
